Always wandering, never lost

In July 2016, I graduated as an Educational Scientist at the University of Amsterdam. When I graduated, I started to wonder what the actual purpose of life is. I realized that my career is incredibly important to me, but I also knew that there was something more to life that I wanted to discover. This is why I decided to go abroad and teach English in Indonesia. The insights this experience gave me, led to a total different life perspective. I have been travelling since then. I am combining travelling with working in Europe and learning myself to program websites in the mean time. And everyday, I am exploring and learning new things. This is what makes me happy and feel blessed everyday.

With the Master degree in in my pocket, I wanted to get professional experience, but I also wanted to travel. I decided to pack my bags and fly to Indonesia to teach English. I got the opportunity to see beautiful things in Indonesia, such as active vulcano's and the most beautiful snorkeling sites. It became an addiction, I found how wonderful it is to explore different countries and come to places you didn't know that existed. Sometimes, it can feel like you're in a different world. I have made a selection of the most beautiful things that I have seen and would love to share some of my photos with you.

my passion

Next to traveling, I am passionate about education. I have a great interest in Education and am most passionate about issues that involve motivation of students, unequality and the impact of globalization and innovations. To me, education is one of the most important things in life. Good education is something everyone deserves. Every learning environment should be able to motivate people, make it possible to recognize talents and give every person an equal chance to develop these talents. Still a lot of research and work has to be done to be able to say that we have ‘good education’ for every person, all over the world. But this shouldn’t hold us back in wanting to put a step forward. I'm highly motivated to help to make this happen.
